Garden Variety is a small-scale, local, independent initiative that I began in 2021 in my backyard in Toronto’s west end. This ongoing project offers emerging GTA-based artists an opportunity to create site-specific, outdoor, public art installations. Conceived as a variation on the community BBQ, Garden Variety exhibitions run for one day only, emphasizing decay, transformation, and ephemerality.

This project aims to make art a space for open, imaginative, and permissive social and economic experimentation.
